The Whitney album includes five songs that reached the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and also became international hits."I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)", "Didn't We Almost Have It All", "So Emotional" and "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" reached number one on the US Hot 100. Thus, Whitney Houston became the first female act to have four songs from one album reach number one on the US Hot 100. Whitney Houston had three straight number-one singles from her previous album, each reaching number one seven times in a row, giving her seven consecutive number-one hits. Meanwhile, none of her seven singles were duets, and none were recorded with other major bands. This was truly an unprecedented achievement, and I think Whitney Houston deserved it thoroughly.

Whitney was a major commercial success, selling over 20 million copies worldwide and becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time.The album and first single, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)", became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many countries in Europe, as well as several countries in Asia, South America, and Africa. Additionally, the album debuted at number one on the US Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, which also made Whitney Houston the first female artist to ever debut at number one in the United States. The album was deemed worthy of many awards and was also awarded a diamond certificate by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Whitney Houston has a really strong and impressive voice, I love listening to her songs. Her charming voice has always impressed me. Whitney Houston's best-selling album is "The Bodyguard", the second is "Whitney Houston" and the third is "Whitney". Even though Whitney wasn't her best-selling album, I think it was the album with her best songs. There are really great songs on the album, especially "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)", "Didn't We Almost Have It All", "So Emotional", "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" , frankly it is very difficult for me to call one of them my favorite. But I can say that the song I listened to the most on this album was "I Wanna Dance with Somebody".

I think "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" is one of the best pop songs of all time, celebrating the joy of dancing and finding love. I think Whitney Houston's vocal performance in this song is simply amazing. Her voice in this song is so alive, so on-fire, and so free that it is impossible to listen to this song and not be impressed. I can say that it is one of the rare pop songs that affects me. Also, this song moves me every time I listen to it.
