The Color of My Love was a major commercial success and remains one of the best-selling albums of all time, with sales of over 20 million copies worldwide. The album has sold six million copies in the United States, over 1.8 million copies in the United Kingdom, 1.5 million copies in Canada, and over 1 million copies in Japan. The album reached number one in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and several other European countries, and reaching the top 10 in many other countries.

The album was generally highly appreciated and received many awards, some of which are; The Colour of My Love won two Juno Awards for Album of the Year and Best Selling Album (Foreign or Domestic) and also received The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) Award for Best International Female Artist Album. Additionally, "Think Twice" won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, and "To Love You More" received the International Single Grand Prix at the Japan Gold Disc Award. "When I Fall in Love" won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocal. Additionally, "The Power of Love" was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1995. I love The Colour of My Love album and especially the vocals. To briefly evaluate her album The Color of My Love, in her previous album "Celine Dion" she was more innocent, like a girl discovering love, but in "The Colour Of My Love" she was more of a passionate grown woman.

Celine Dion has a really strong voice and I love her vocal performance. I especially love listening to love and emotional songs from her voice, and there are plenty of these in her album The Colour Of My Love. There are great songs on this album, but I can say that my favorite song is "The Power of Love".

The original version of the song "The Power Of Love" was Jennifer Rush's number one hit in 1984, and has also been covered by many singers, but I think Celine Dion sang this song best and she sings such songs really perfectly. Also, this is one of her best vocal performances. "The Power Of Love" is one of the greatest love songs of all time. Especially "'Cause I'm your lady, And you are my man" has a piercing quality that touches directly to the heart.
