Songs in the Key of Life is the eighteenth studio album by American singer, songwriter, and musician Stevie Wonder, released on September 28, 1976 by Tamla Records (Motown Records subsidiary). The album was recorded between 1974 and 1976. It was produced by Stevie Wonder himself. It is a double album consisting of 21 tracks.

Songs in the Key of Life was a great success both commercially and critically. Songs in the Key of Life has been regarded by music journalists as the culmination of Stevie Wonder's "classic period" of recording. Additionally, it ranked high on many lists around the world. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart, becoming the third album to achieve this feat and the first by an American artist. The album spent thirteen consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 and became the second best-selling album of 1977 in the US. Also in 2005, the album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which means sales of 5 million units. The album became Stevie Wonder's best-selling album. Songs in the Key of Life won Album of the Year at the 19th Grammy Awards. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002, and in 2005 it was inducted into the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Undoubtedly, Stevie Wonder was one of the most successful figures in popular music. It can be said that "Songs in the Key of Life" is Stevie Wonder's masterpiece and is also considered his signature album. And it is undoubtedly one of the best albums of all time. ​It include songs about faith and love among all peoples, songs about social justice for the poor and downtrodden. It also includes memories of childhood, first love, and lost love. And Songs in the Key of Life is a really great album and there are some great songs on the album. I can say that the songs I listened to and liked the most in this album were "As", "Sir Duke", and "I wish".
