A Run, A Walk, Two Rocks And Some Food In Tokyo
I went downtown yesterday to see the new Mineral Museum my friends are opening in Ginza. Along the way I stopped off in Shibuya for a light breakfast at Starbucks.
Normally I would order a coffee and a slice of quiche lorraine, but this Starbucks had a large selection of other food.
I decided to switch things up a bit with a tripple espresso($5.50) and this chicken & cheese tortilla wrap($4.50).
The chicken wrap had a type of queso cheese that reminded me of the burritos my friends and I would get at our cafeteria in 7th grade. It was really delicious and nostalgic.
After breakfast I stepped outside to head over to Ginza, but I was stopped in my tracks on the sidewalk.
Shibuya was having a women's run and I had no way to get across the street until the last runners went by.
While a 15 minute inconvenience, it was great to see all the women participating, especially the women who dressed up as anime characters, minions and other unknown characters of which I forgot to take pictures of.
When I did make it to Ginza I had to do a bit of detective work. The owners of the museum have not told anyone of the location yet. So I wandered the streets for about 1 hour.
Then my opsec skills kicked in. I looked at some of the photos they had posted of the location, all of which are tight and do not give away any details of the locality, except for one, a sign for the tenant a located above. So I opened up google maps and look at that.
