Gasoline leakage [Eng/Esp]

Today I tell you that yesterday morning I was leaving with my daughter Miranda in the car to take her to school for her graduation rehearsal and when I go to close the gate I realize that on the garage floor there was a little liquid and it was weird because it could not be engine oil or box because the liquid was under the back seat.

Hola amigos de Hive y @hive-motors, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien.

Hoy les cuento que ayer en la mañana iba saliendo con mi hija Miranda en el carro para llevarla al colegio para el ensayo de su graduación y cuando voy a cerrar el portón me doy cuenta que en el piso del garage había un poco de liquido y que era raro por qué no podía ser aceite de motor o caja por qué el líquido estaba debajo del asiento de atrás.

When I get closer I see that it was drying and when I check I realize that it was gasoline, I go to the car and bend down to check and I see that it is leaking a lot of gasoline, so I put the car back in the garage and turned it off, of course Miranda was not going to be able to go to the rehearsal.

I change my clothes and I start to check the hoses under the car, where the gasoline comes out and returns, and visually I could not see that they were cracked or broken, I turn on the car again and I see that the gasoline is coming out from inside and drips up to the hoses.

I see that the problem is in the hoses because when I turn off the car it stops dripping because the gas pump stops sending gas and if it were a leak from the tank it would be constantly dripping and the gas level would have dropped.

Cuando me acerco veo que se estaba secando y cuando reviso me doy cuenta que era gasolina, voy hasta el carro y me agacho para chequear y veo que está goteando bastante gasolina, así que vuelvo a meter el carro al garage y lo apagó, por su puesto que Miranda ya no iba a poder ir al ensayo.

Me cambio de ropa y me pongo a revisar las mangueras que están debajo del carro, por dónde sale y devuelve la gasolina, y visualmente no se veía que estuvieran agrietadas o rotas, vuelvo a prender el carro y observo que la gasolina está saliendo de adentro y chorrea hasta las mangueras.

Veo que el problema es en las mangueras porque cuando apago el carro deja de gotear ya que la bomba de la gasolina deja de mandar y si fuese una fuga del tanque se quedará goteando constantemente y el nivel de la gasolina hubiese bajado.

So I turn off the car and dismounted the rear seat to check the hoses on the inside, those coming out of the pump and I see that both are very soft and were a little chipped in the part where the hose is introduced to the pump.

I decided to remove the 2 hoses to check them completely, just in case they will not have a crack below, the first thing I do is to disconnect the 2 hoses from the pump.

I start with the return hose, I remove the clamp and then go under the car and pull the hoses to identify which is the one that was loose, and identified loosened the clamp and remove the hose, I checked it and got nothing, cut the tip that goes on the inside where it looked soft and chipped and then reattached the hose.

Así que apago el carro y desmontó el asiento trasero para revisar las mangueras en la parte interna, las que salen de la bomba y veo que ambas están muy blandas y estaban un poco desconchadas en la parte dónde se introduce la manguera a la bomba.

Decidí sacar las 2 mangueras para revisarlas completamente, por si acaso no vayan a tener alguna grieta más abajo, lo primero que hago es desconectar las 2 mangueras de la bomba.

Comienzo con la manguera de retorno, le retiro la abrazadera y luego voy por debajo del carro y halo las mangueras para identificar cuál es la que estaba suelta, ya identificada aflojó la abrazadera y retiro la manguera, la revisé y no le conseguí nada, le cortó la punta que va en la parte interna donde se veía blanda y desconchada y luego volví a colocar la manguera.

I did the same with the output hose, but this one cost me a lot to remove it because it is very close to the other and also has very little travel to the inlet, after a long time trying in the end I managed to remove it, like the other, there was no crack, I cut the tip that enters the pump and reinstalled it, I connected the hose to the pump and then I turned on the car to check for leaks, I left it on for a while just in case it leaked and thank God everything went well and the problem was solved.

I guess it was leaking gasoline in the tips where I cut why everything was fine, and that's how I got rid of the mechanic and I could solve on my own.

Hice lo mismo con la manguera de salida, pero está me costo bastante sacarla por que se encuentra muy pegada de la otra y además tiene muy poco recorrido hasta la entrada, después de un buen rato tratando al final conseguí retirarla, al igual que la otra, no se veia ninguna grieta, le corté la punta que entra a la bomba y la volví a instalar, conecte la manguera a la bomba y luego prendí el carro para verificar que no tuviera fuga, lo deje un rato prendido por si acaso fugaba y gracias a Dios que todo salió bien y se solucionó el problema.

Me imagino que estaba fugando gasolina en las puntas donde corte por qué todo quedó bien, y así fue como me libré del mecánico y pude resolver por mi cuenta.

Bueno amigos eso es todo por hoy, quise compartir esto con ustedes por si les pasa algo similar sepan que hacer o que puede ser.
