Garden cleanup [Eng/Esp]

Hello friends of Hive and @homesolutions, I hope you have had a good start of the week, here everything is fine, at the school where I work we are busy with the carnival because on Friday is the parade of the schools in the municipality, but I am not going to tell you about that today but on Saturday I took the day to clean the front of the house that because of the rains in December and January was filled with bush and it was time to give it a little care.

Hola amigos de Hive y @homesolutions, espero que hayan tenido un buen inicio de semana, por aquí todo bien, en la escuela donde trabajo montados con lo del carnaval porque el viernes es el desfile de las escuelas en el municipio, pero de eso no les voy a contar hoy sino que el sábado aproveché el día para limpiar el frente de la casa que por las lluvias que hubo en diciembre y enero se llenó de monte y tocó hacerle un cariñito.

Here before my mother-in-law had many bushes and there was not all that empty space but with the water problem she had to leave the bushes because the water comes once a month and the water we store has to be managed to hold it until the next cycle, so she left some bushes and that space is full of bush and as she goes through there to get water from a tank that she has there, it had to be cleaned.

In the pictures you can see how that side was and the other side that looks a little more like a garden, all full of bush and I was waiting for a cloudy day to do this but it was sunny these days and I could not keep waiting so I looked for everything I needed and I set myself to this task.

Aquí antes mi suegra tenía muchas matas y no había todo ese espacio vacío pero con el problema del agua tuvo que ir saliendo de las matas porque el agua nos llega una vez en el mes y la que almacenamos hay que administrarla para que aguante hasta el otro ciclo, por eso ella salió de algunas matas y ese espacio se llena mucho de monte y como por ahí se pasa para agarrar agua de un tanque que ella tiene ahí había que limpiar.

En las fotos ustedes ven como estaba ese lado y el otro que si parece un poco más a un jardín, todo lleno de monte y yo estaba esperando un día nublado para hacer esto pero que va, puro sol estos días y no podía seguir esperando así que busqué todo lo necesario y me puse en esa tarea.

I got a machete, a hoe, some gloves and got to work, first on the larger side where next weekend I think I will prune the trinitaria bush because it is already very big and once the weight made it break. Well, continuing with the theme, I started removing with my hands everything I could do that way but with dry soil it is more difficult, so I ended up doing almost everything with the hoe.

There with the work done you can see that we have some still small guava bushes that my mother in law planted, there is also a lime and some basil, so you have to clean carefully so as not to damage the bushes that are there, and after I finished with that part I went to the other side that as it is small I finished it much faster.

Busqué machete, azadon, unos guantes y puse manos a la obra, primero del lado más grande donde el fin.de semana que viene creo que voy a podar la mata de trinitaria porque ya está muy grande y una vez el peso hizo que se partiera. Bueno, siguiendo con el tema, comencé sacando con las manos todo lo que podía hacer de esa forma pero con ka tierra seca es más difícil, así que terminé haciendo casi todo con el azadon.

Ahí con el trabajo adelantado pueden ver que tenemos unas matas de guayaba aún pequeñas que sembró mi suegra, también hay una de lima y unas de albahaca, así que hay que ir limpiando con cuidado para no dañar las matas que están ahí, y después que terminé con esa parte pasé al otro lado que como es pequeño lo terminé mucho más rápido.

In the end it took me all morning to remove all the brush and dump the garbage, the best thing would be to do this more often but I always postpone it and end up doing it when there is a lot of brush and it is more work, but now it is clean and as we are in drought it will take a long time like this.

Al final me tomó toda la mañana sacar todo el monte y botar la basura, lo mejor sería hacer esto más seguido pero siempre lo voy posponiendo y termino haciéndolo cuando está con mucho monte y es más trabajo, pero ya quedó limpio y como estamos en sequía va a demorar bastante tiempo así.
