Unveiling the Hidden Power in the "Born Again" Battle Rule in Splinterlands
Hello, fellow Splinterlands enthusiasts! After discussing 1-click rentals in the previous post, this time I will talk about my epic battles in Splinterlands.
In the world of Splinterlands, each battle brings a unique strategic nuance, especially when the "Born Again" battle rule is in play. This rule grants special advantages to cards with the martyr ability, and often, players will select potent combinations to exploit this benefit. One of the most commonly seen combinations in Splinterlands involves pairing a martyr card with QUORA TOWERSHEAD. With her bloodlust ability, QUORA TOWERSHEAD grows stronger each time a nearby martyr monster dies and resurrects.
In an epic battle I recently witnessed, QUORA TOWERSHEAD faced a formidable opponent from the same element. This opponent not only benefited from martyr monsters but also wielded the bloodlust ability, amplifying its strength. This monster was KATRELBA GOBSON, with its sneak ability and double strike. The battle became intriguing as QUORA TOWERSHEAD’s increasing speed was matched by KATRELBA GOBSON’s agility.
During this clash, QUORA TOWERSHEAD had a notable weakness despite being flanked by two martyr monsters. Positioned in the middle of the lineup, QUORA TOWERSHEAD could only attack with magic and couldn't strike twice. My team managed to mitigate this weakness with healing from Pelacor Mercenary. However, the real threat emerged from the Goblin Psychic on both sides, whose Affliction ability could halt the healing.
Thane Newsong’s empowered sneak attack destroyed Mycelic Slipspawn. The activated bloodlust fueled subsequent attacks, and one by one, the opposing team’s monsters fell from the backline. Eventually, only QUORA TOWERSHEAD remained on the battlefield.

This battle demonstrates that while the "Born Again" rule heavily favors the use of martyr monsters, other factors must be considered. KATRELBA GOBSON, with its double strike and immense destructive power, was able to counter and even defeat QUORA TOWERSHEAD. Speed and precise strategy were crucial to securing victory in this situation.
This glimpse into a Splinterlands battle underscores the importance of understanding and leveraging each rule and monster ability. May this story inspire and guide you in crafting your next battle strategy. Happy battling and good luck!
