Deadly Poison Attacks in Splinterlands | SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE
Hello, Splinterlands warriors! How are you all doing? In this week's challenge, I'll share my battle experience using poison attacks. Yes, poison is one of the most advantageous abilities when used in battle because every monster that gets poisoned will lose health points each round.
Understanding Poison in Splinterlands

Before we dive into the strategy, let's understand poison in Splinterlands. Several monsters have poison attacks, either from the beginning or after a level upgrade. This ability can infect the attacked enemy, but it's important to note that not every attack will infect the enemy. The chance of infection is 50%, so sometimes the attack does not poison the target.
Favorite Poisonous Monsters

For this battle, I used the water element with two formidable poisonous monsters: Deeplurker and Uraeus. Deeplurker gains a poison attack after a level upgrade, while Uraeus has poison and sneak attacks, making it highly effective for targeting monsters in the enemy's backline.
Team Formation
Here's the team formation I used:
- Void Dragon as the tank in the front line. I always rely on Void Dragon due to its speed and durability.
- Merdaali Guardian for backup with healing and repair abilities.
- Kulu Mastermind and Riverboat Captain as high-damage attackers.
- Deeplurker and Uraeus as the main poisonous attackers.
Strategy Against Magic Teams
In this battle, I faced an opponent using a level 6 earth element summoner, relying on magic attacks and healing. The biggest threats were Goblin Psychic with affliction and silence abilities. Additionally, Mycelic Slipspawn received continuous healing support from Spirit Hoarder and Queen Mycelia. In the front line, the enemy used Xenith Monk and Regal Peryton to leverage speed.
The Exciting Battle
How did I handle this magic-based team? In the battle, the advantage of poison proved to be a significant challenge for the opponent. Even though they received healing support, the combination of poison and high-damage attacks gradually wore down the enemy monsters.
Here are some key strategies I applied:
- Utilizing Poison: Poison attacks from Deeplurker and Uraeus continuously reduced the health points of enemy monsters despite their healing.
- Speed of Void Dragon: Void Dragon in the front line withstood initial attacks, giving the poisonous monsters time to start infecting.
- Strong Backup: Merdaali Guardian's healing and repair abilities kept Void Dragon in the fight longer.
- High-Damage Attacks: Kulu Mastermind and Riverboat Captain delivered high-damage attacks, hastening the downfall of enemy monsters.
Battle Outcome
I want to share my experience using this strategy. You can see this ability in action from my battle here:
The result? Poison attacks were highly effective in overcoming the enemy's healing strategy. Even though they tried to restore health points with healing, the combination of poison and high-damage attacks ultimately caused their monsters to fall one by one.
Conclusion
That's one of my exciting experiences using poison attacks in Splinterlands. Poison indeed becomes a powerful weapon that can change the course of a battle. Keep fighting and trying new strategies in every match. Who knows, poison might be the key to your next victory!
