Hello wildlife photography lovers at #photofeed!

Today I feel motivated by the fantastic contest to which @photofeed invites us and that is why I am participating now with these new photographs that I just took and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I don't know if the same thing has happened to you, but I never tire of allowing nature, or life, to surprise me. What could be a seemingly ordinary day becomes a gift through the contemplation of simplicity.

The rain had stopped. My intention was simply to sit on the patio of the house where I was visiting. An ashtray was upside down. I prepared to put it back in its usual position, and what a surprise?

Nothing more and nothing less than a snail in all its splendor. Curious, traveling every millimeter at a subtly beautiful speed.

Who knows if its eyes, for a moment, sought mine? I perceived no evidence of fear. Normally, when they feel threatened, they tend to hide within their shell. That wasn't the case. It was moving its eyes, like someone recognizing the path to cover, while decoding its surroundings.

I, silent, calm, happy, breathing softly so as not to scare him...

Of course, I couldn't miss the opportunity to photograph him. He, graciously, or ignoring reality, allowed me to.

It seemed like a sublime moment to me. And what do you think?
