New Year's with Cristal beer! | The #BeerSaturday Challenge Week 444

First beer of the year. It couldn't be anything other than Cristal beer, known as "Cuba's Favorite"!

This year I wanted to start it differently. I walked for quite a while to find a new place to try a different beer.

Although the beer I found wasn't really new to me, the place and the way I enjoyed the moment were.

It had been a while since I'd had Cristal beer. It's practically disappeared from my country years ago. That's why I was so happy to discover this newly opened place, which I'd never been to before.

Bar 200's is a small place that might go unnoticed by many, but once discovered, it's captivating. Its design is welcoming and invites you to linger and enjoy its offerings in complete privacy and tranquility.

Interestingly, from what I could tell, the beer is brought in daily, so its quality is confirmed as high-quality.

Inside, towards the back of the premises, there's a private area where you can drink without being seen. It seems ideal for those who want more privacy while they drink.

The beer, ice cold, exquisite as Cristal has always been.

Remember, it's a beer produced in Cuba using German technology and successfully exported, with the US being one of its largest consumer markets, primarily in Florida, where it's sold under a different name.

While it's not a beer known for its high alcohol content, which ranges from 4.9% to 10% ABV, its sweet flavor with a subtle bitter note, light and frothy texture, and ideal aroma and foamy consistency make it very pleasant on the palate.

As a curious fact, this beer, which won a Gold Medal at the Monde-Selection International in 2007, is brewed using water drawn from wells over 140 meters deep.

During the brewing process, the wort is at a temperature above 95ºC, then it is cooled to 8ºC to be fermented for up to 21 days, after which the beer is practically ready, awaiting the filtration process.

That said, I order some croquettes with mayonnaise to continue enjoying other pitchers of beer while I write these lines.

Something I found delightful was seeing that the audience was mostly female, beautiful women who also thoroughly enjoyed their beer. I was able to go from drinking alone to enjoying the company of one of them, with whom I discovered new perspectives on the topics we discussed.

So, to continue the conversation, I'll say goodbye for now, but not before sending each of you a hug of light!

Here's my entry for the BeerSaturday Challenge Week 444 that @detlev proposes to us and I would like to invite @bibana to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 pictures.

Amazing. Let's bring back the good old beer chat with strangers😊.
On another note, the beer looks very familiar. I'm pretty sure we have it in my country as well.

Enjoy your beer Roswelborges
