I go out into the street
with my loneliness, a lonely man,
a bolero man,
a jazz man,
a blues man,
a rock man
in the cry of the cobblestones that preserve your footprints...

The trees hang your shadow
in the persistence of the virus that withers you,
virus
that just yesterday I said doesn't even embrace me
because my loneliness as a man alone
hurts more when I try to smile
and I can't.

The doorways have lights on to illuminate your silhouette.

Don't blame me
for seeing you in all the shadows.

Don't blame me for loving you
despite everything...

I clean the cobblestones with my pain.

In the plaza,
no one hears my cries,
while the doorways
can only extinguish the light
in the silence of my solitude,
of a lonely man.

Salgo a la calle
con mi soledad de hombre solo,
hombre bolero,
hombre jazz,
blues,
hombre rock
en el grito de los adoquines que conservan tus huellas...

Los árboles cuelgan tu sombra
en la persistencia del virus que te marchita,
virus
que justo ayer dije siquiera me abraza
porque mi soledad de hombre solo
duele más cuando intento sonreír
y no puedo.

Los portales tienen luces prendidas para iluminar tu silueta.
No me culpes
por verte en todas las sombras.
No me culpes por amarte
a pesar de todo...

Limpio los adoquines con mi dolor.
En la plaza
nadie escucha mis gritos
mientras los portales
solo pueden apagar la luz
en el silencio de mi soledad
de hombre solo.
