Beyond the Shadows | Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest Round 382

Hello, dear Shadowhunters!

This week @melinda010100 gives us a new edition of her contest to motivate us to hunt shadows on the path of life and, of course, I couldn't resist the beautiful thing I found and I share it with you.

Yesterday I was telling you about the festivities taking place these days where I live and how dance has taken over the urban environment. Since it's impossible to remain oblivious to all of this, I set about hunting for shadows in every step I found interesting.

All of this was motivated by images that simultaneously invaded me in relation to those shadows that were emerging. Suddenly, I found myself immersed in associations with animals manifested on the ground, thanks to the reflection of the sun on each dancer.

But it wasn't just animals that emerged. I also visualized a close relationship between each movement of the shadows, evocations of artists as diverse as the great representatives of the Ashcan School, Impressionism, Expressionism, Surrealism, Abstractionism, and Modernism, such as Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Jean-Louis Forain, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Robert Henri, Raoul Dufy, and our own Nelson Domínguez, all notable creators of dancers and figurations on the subject that endure through time.
