Something very surprising about the morrocoy is that even though she is a small animal when she does her needs they are big ha, ha, ha, ha... as she is normally in a big space where there is a lot of dirt, she gets dirty, my son once a week got used to clean her with an old toothbrush and water, so she doesn't get sticky.
Although this time I had not done it for almost a month because it has been raining and if I cleaned it, it would get dirty automatically, because where it lives the ground is dirt. This little animal is an animal that does not give work, it does not hurt, you just have to be aware that it always has food and water.
But it doesn't bother me, I really love it as a pet, the only thing I realized is that it is good when its habitat is a house with enough space with soil, since they are made of soil, I have a cousin who had one, but having it in a box all the time because she lives in an apartment made her morrocoy sick. Like any animal, it needs care. I hope you are encouraged to have one, it is a very beautiful and calm animal.
Queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien. ¡Hoy junto a mi hijo queremos enseñarle a nuestra mascota Julia, que es una morrocoy, la cual ya tiene 3 años con nosotros, llegó bebé, ya hoy en día está muy grande!
Algo muy sorprendente de las morrocoy es que a pesar de que es un animal pequeño cuando hace sus necesidades son grandes ja, ja, ja... como normalmente está en un gran espacio donde hay mucha tierra, se la pasa sucia, mi hijo una vez a la semana se acostumbró a limpiarla con un cepillo viejo de diente y agua, para que no se le crean pegostes.
Aunque esta vez tenía ya casi un mes que no lo hacía porque ha estado lloviendo y si la limpiaba se ensuciaría automáticamente, ya que donde vive el suelo es de tierra. Este animalito es un animal que no da trabajo, no hace daño, solo hay que estar pendiente de que siempre tenga comida y agua.
Que lindo que tú hijo esté pendiente de limpiar a rostego ❤️. Hay otro hiver que tiene varias tortuguitas de tierra como mascotas y con ustedes es que he ido aprendiendo más sobre estas criaturas. Son muy lindas pero no me atrevería a tener una mascota que viva más que yo, no sé cómo sería su vida después 🥺. Saludos.
si, desde pequeño me a gustado que aprenda el cuidado de ellos, ya que son seres vivos y merecen el mismo respeto que nosotros.. jajaja... bueno hasta hace poco existia la tortuga de mi papa que tenia desde pequeño, hasta que se perdio en el patio de la casa.

asi mismo es, es bueno enseñarlos desde pequeño el cuidado y el respeto hacia los animales.

Me parece súper lindo que tu niño la limpie una vez por semana. Más allá de que pueda ser una mascota que no necesita tanta atención, él ya tiene una responsabilidad con ella.
He conocido varios morrocoy que tienen años y son realmente gigantes. A mí en lo particular me dan miedo todos los reptiles, incluyendo tortugas y morrocoyes. Una vez estando adolescente me mordió una tortuga y casi me quita una parte del dedo 😅
