View of Jambatan Barelang
One of the must-visit places in Batam is the Barelang Bridge or Jambatan Barelang in the local tongue. From the hotel that I stayed in, to the Barelang Bridge, it took us 40 minutes of driving.
Driving in Batam is considerably challenging. I am required to be fully aware of my surroundings while navigating through the busy, bumpy, and pothole-ridden road.
While the driving experience is not that welcoming, it is well compensated with a variety of fresh seafood to choose from and the beautiful view of Barelang Bridge. Plus, the price of the seafood is insanely cheap if I were to compare it with Kuala Lumpur's seafood price.

Heard a lot of good things a out Batam(which I always miss spelt due to autocorrect as Batman).
For me, it is a good place for a short holiday. Cheap food, affordable transportation fee, and not as congested as Bandung or Bali.
