Teh Tarik for breakfast

Teh Tarik or Pulled Tea for its literal translation is a staple drink for breakfast in Malaysia. It is made by boiling a strong black tea and mixing it with condensed milk. You can choose between the normal Teh Tarik or its less sweet version.

The name is derived from the process of pouring a cup of tea that has been mixed with condensed milk back and forth from one cup into another cup. This action is called 'tarik'. This process gave the tea its frothy milk.

It may look similar to its counterparts which is the Milk Tea. The difference is that Milk Tea is made using fresh milk. I personally loved the Teh Tarik because of its strong creamy taste.

However, drinking too much of Teh Tarik would expose you to the risk of diabetes.
