Roti Bakar Hutton Lane

After my two-day training in Penang, I decided to extend my stay. Fortunately, I managed to secure a room at a hotel in the Georgetown area. At first, I thought of making a reservation before arriving in Penang, but I had forgotten.

The training ended on Saturday, and on Sunday, I woke up early at 6:30 am, I packed my things, and took a shower. By 7:30 am, I was ready and had checked out of the hotel.

After checking out, I headed to my bike and carefully packed my belongings into the motorcycle box and under-seat compartment. The only bag I kept with me was my chest bag, where I stored important items like my wallet, bike key, and my medications.

Once I was sure everything was secure, I started my bike and headed to Chowrasta Road. After a five-minute ride, I arrived at Roti Bakar Hutton Lane. Roti Bakar or toast is a common breakfast meal, but the version at Hutton Lane has a unique twist.

Located in Georgetown, Roti Bakar Hutton Lane is incredibly popular among locals and tourists. When I arrived, all the tables were already full. I jumped in the queue, took a menu, and browsed through it while waiting.

Fifteen minutes later, I reached the front and proceeded to place my order which was a Roti Bakar with cheese and a cup of tea. For all, I was charged MYR10 which is a reasonable price. The portion of roti bakar was just nice for a single adult.

Other than the delicious taste of the Roti Bakar, the other thing that I like was the way they prepared it.
