Memories of my Visit to Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna in Rome

Warm greetings, lovers of positive nostalgia and beautiful memories! It is a pleasure to be here once again to share with you the memories of my visit to the Piazza del Popolo and, later that day, to Piazza di Spagna, as part of my trip to Rome years ago.

I begin this remembrance with the Piazza del Popolo or People's Square, which is one of the most famous and busiest squares in the city of Rome at the foot of Mount Pincio. Let's remember that Rome is located on seven hills and this made my tour a bit hard on my feet, since I obviously wanted to see the city on foot to be in direct contact with its streets, architectural structures and the daily life of this beautiful and historic city.

One of the most beautiful structures adjoining the square is the Basilica of Santa Maria in Monte Santo, which together with Santa Maria dei Miracoli are known as the twin churches; I truly adored their architecture and the fact that they were together.

The best view of the square is from the Pincio Terrace, a high point where I could enjoy the cityscape. From there you can see the Flaminio Obelisk all the way down the center. At the ends of the square there are two fountains, one is the Fountain of Neptune and the other is the Fountain of the Dea.

Something that I like a lot about this city is that no matter in which area I was almost always had access to streets and bridges that connected with the Tiber River, and these landscapes were dreamy for me, which was the first time I left my country.

Very close to there on foot, I went to another square very visited by tourists, it is the Piazza di Spagna, and I remember that to get there it was necessary to go through the Via del Condotti, best known for hosting many stores of great designers.

As we can see in the pictures, in the center of the square is the famous Baroque Fountain of the Boat, made by Pietro Bernini and his son Gian Lorenzo. The monument is located at the foot of the Staircase of the Trinità dei Monti, which leads to the church of the same name, a beautiful architectural work of great religious and tourist value.

It got dark and I decided to continue on foot to the inn, touring the city and some other places of interest, which because of the time I could not stop to detail much that day. I thank you for accompanying me here in what was a beautiful and unforgettable memory of a very special day.

Hi, Jesus! I hope you can visit it one day, maybe with the Simon Bolivar National Choir.
This city has a lot to offer in every single corner.
Thanks for passing by and appreciating.
