RE: Giving is a blessing || a community service

Seeing these photos, naiiyak ako. I used to be on the receiving end of these outreach. I remember pocketing some extra sandwiches on my way home kasi I was thinking of my brother and my sister at home, alam ko nagugutom na sila. All my clothes wee also hand-me-down before. I felt bad for myself and my family back then. But thanks to these pantawid gutom programs, natawid talaga ang gutom ko literal.
But to a little girl na nagugutom, these things give them hope. And to a little girl with an empty stomach, a glimmer of hope is all she needs to survive for the day so that she can look forward to a brighter future.
Yes sis @romeskie this is also the reason why I always choose to join or participate a community service if their is chances or opportunity kasi nakikita ko din sarili ko. Isa kami sa Pinaka indigent family sa aming Lugar before but praise God di na siguro ngayon kasi may mga work na din mga kapatid ko.
In my current status, though we are still belong doon sa mahirap having only 6k in a month but I believe that we are still blessed in different ways. Di man financial pero sa ibang bagay.
Ngayon, I am the community service leader sa aming church and I always encourage everyone to give, to help kahit sa maliit na bagay. As we give, we are also blessed. Tama ka di ito nakakahelp sa root cause but atleast once in a while di na sadakit Ang ulo Ng mga magulang saan kukuha pambili Ng pair of shoes, Ang iba walang breakfast and being there natugunan Ang gutom nila.
See that old woman smiling with a dress na naukay nya? Lumapit sya sa akin asking help if she can have a pack of rice kasi Wala daw syang masaing, Wala daw syang niluto kahit sa umagahan. I am about to talk to our leader when her name was called. She is so happy and I am so happy too for her.
Simpleng bagay pero malaking bagay na sa iba. Let's just continue giving no matter how small it is.
