MY JOURNEY TO THE MARKET

Today I embarked on a journey to the market with my mom, armed with a bag of garri and a determination to sell it all. Little did I know, this ordinary trip would turn into an adventure filled with valuable lessons.

As we set out early in the morning, the sun was just beginning to rise, The air was alive with the sounds of traders calling out their daily specials and the hum of motorcycles whizzing by. My mom and I navigated through the crowded streets, our garri-filled bag on a truck

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lot of faces – vendors, customers, and hawkers, all vying for attention. The market was a kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, and smells. We wove through the stalls, searching for the perfect spot to set up shop.

As we settled in, I realized that selling garri wouldn't be as straightforward as I thought. The market was teeming with people, but few were interested in our product. We waited... and waited. The sun beat down on us, relentless in its intensity.

As the hours ticked by, I began to appreciate the resilience of market Traders My mom, a seasoned seller, remained unfazed by the slow sales.

As the day wore on, I witnessed the market's human side. A young boy, eager to help his mother, expertly haggled with customers. An elderly woman, her face etched with lines of hardship, offered warm smiles to potential buyers.

Just when we thought sales couldn't get any slower, a sudden downpour drenched the market. Vendors scrambled to protect their wares. My mom and I hid under a nearby car wash watching as the rain transformed the market into a muddy mess.

As the rain subsided, something unexpected happened. The market, once chaotic, became tranquil. The reduced crowd allowed us to connect with customers on a deeper level. We sold more garri in the final hour than the entire day

As we packed up our remaining garri and headed home, so exhausted
