A Major Step Toward Crypto Adoption

In a significant development in the digital finance space reports today revealed that Ripple’s USD-pegged stablecoin (RLUSD) is now being used as institutional collateral in financial operations linked to BlackRock the world’s largest asset manager. This means that institutions interacting with BlackRock’s BUIDL Fund can now exchange tokenized fund shares directly for RLUSD at any time 24/7.

The move comes through a partnership between Ripple and Securitize a platform specialized in tokenizing real-world assets. This collaboration allows investors in funds such as BUIDL and VBILL to use RLUSD as a collateral tool and a fast liquidity layer outside the traditional financial system.
RLUSD is a stablecoin backed 1:1 by the US dollar and high-quality liquid assets operating under a clear regulatory framework supervised by the New York Department of Financial Services This makes it particularly attractive to institutional investors who require stable transparent and compliant collateral instruments.

This development arrives at a time when traditional finance is increasingly moving toward integrating advanced blockchain solutions aiming to speed up settlements reduce reliance on conventional market hours and improve interoperability between tokenized financial assets and digital currencies.
