Catching up!

Sometimes a cup of coffee with friends and a proper conversation is all you require to replenish fully.

Last week while I was finishing up some work, I got a few streaks of messages and a call all of a sudden, all at once, from two different individuals. It was two of my friends who wanted to meet up. I talked about one of them recently in my last post, and the other person, we last met over two years ago.

With my current schedule, it's tough to make time for myself, I barely get much rest, so hangouts and meet-ups for now are to be avoided; if I want to finish my work on time at least.

That is why these days I keep my phone on silent and mostly away from reach when I'm working. Ignoring calls isn't out of the question either. It must be done every now and then. It's all about what requires your attention and what is of top priority at present. Hangouts and meet-ups with friends can always be arranged, but to finish work on time, and to secure an opportunity, you must act accordingly.

Time is of the essence!

But, that day I decided to put my work on hold and decided to meet with them; catch up, and see how they were doing.

Firstly, we met up at a gaming cafe. They were there first playing some games, I joined up later, as they played on, and I watched. From this little visit to the gaming cafe, I learned a little that could be applied to future investments and businesses. If you look around and see where the attention is, while also monitoring business operations, you can learn quite a lot.

We were there for about 30 minutes, and they were off looking for some good coffee. Tabaq was the closest to our location, but unfortunately, the nearest Tabaq was closed that day. So, we decided to go for the second best, Awake Coffee.

After a little rickshaw ride, we were all present at the cafe. Fortunately, all the tables weren't occupied that day. It was fairly empty actually, considering it was during the weekend.

We got there and ordered some coffee, the usual cappuccino, and a pack of sugar. I don't like my food too sweet, but a bit of sugar is needed sometimes. As we waited for the order, we cooled ourselves off while sitting indoors. The past few months have been abysmal, the average temperature being around 34°C. We have the three H's present here, it's all "hellishly" hot and humid. After cooling off, the boys wanted to sit outside, so we took our coffee into the outdoor section and talked and sipped away.

Even though it was hot outdoors, it was still bearable. And these two required their cigarettes to complement their coffee. This is a weird combo to me, but over here many people prefer it that way. I, however, detest cigarettes and smoking, it gives me a headache. Yet, the conversations make the passive bit of smoking worth tolerating.

As always, after we were done with our coffee and conversations, we headed out for a little walk. And soon enough, we came to the crossroads, from where we departed towards our homes, in three different directions.
