Full Exploring Aceh Tsunami Museum // First time visiting a tourist spot that made me mentally disturbed and this is all about how precious life
Good night to all my beloved hive friends all ♥️
This is my second visit to the Aceh Tsunami Museum, but in my previous visit, I only managed to explore the first floor, because at that time the second and third floors were closed. This is a post that will complete my visit to this museum, because in this visit I managed to explore the entire contents of this museum from the first floor (in my post yesterday) to the third floor. Of course this is a valuable experience for me because besides being able to see its history, I can also feel a little of the sensation that occurred when the phenomenon occurred in 2004.
I had a short break after exploring the entire first floor, until after resting enough, I finally decided to continue my exploration in this museum, precisely on the second to third floors. Honestly, I don't know what I will find on the second floor, but I'm sure there will be a big surprise waiting for me there
Hallway leading to the second floor
And before continuing to read this post or delving deeper into all the surprises in this post, I ask that all of my friends first read the text in the second image above, so that all of my friends can understand and not feel disturbed later.
Actually, there are many accesses to get to the second floor, but I deliberately went through this corridor, because one of the officers there suggested that I go up to the second floor through this corridor, with the aim of being able to train my mind and feel the scary sensation.
When I was in front of this hallway, I immediately felt shocked, goosebumps, and fear because right in front of the hallway, I could hear sounds like screams, cries, and some other scary sounds. So, if you suffer from excessive anxiety, I suggest you not to watch the video below. Note, this is only for the brave and have a strong mentality
I had to wait for other visitors to dare to pass through this corridor, even the height of this corridor was also made and measured with the height of the tsunami at that time, this place can also release water from between the walls and roofs, so that when the water falls on our bodies, it can also make us a little surprised, the point is this corridor is highly not recommended for people who have mental disorders and excessive anxiety because it is very dangerous.
I don't know how long this hallway is, but I can feel a new calmness when I managed to pass through this hallway. For those who have watched the video, please leave your experiences and sensations that you can feel from the video, please leave your comments in the comments column below 👇
After passing through this corridor, I finally felt relieved again, and I also arrived at a room that contained many monuments with several pictures on top of them depicting the sadness after the tsunami hit Aceh in 2004.
And here are some pictures after the Aceh Tsunami
The Aceh tsunami wave is estimated to have reached a height of 30 meters and claimed the lives of approximately 270,000 people. Imagine how nature can destroy in a matter of hours, and the Aceh tsunami was also one of the largest tsunamis that has ever occurred in the last hundred years. There are many positive and negative things if I explain every detail and event from the photos, but it will be more pronounced if you read it yourself so you can understand it well and clearly.
After capturing every moment in this room, I finally decided to continue my exploration, and I chose to continue walking through the small corridor in front of me.
In this corridor, I can still see every detail of the architectural beauty offered by the walls of this building, and what is unique about this corridor is its circular shape, so that when we pass through this alley it is as if we are just going around in circles in that corridor.
And it turns out that this corridor is connected to a bridge in the middle of the fish pond, and this bridge can be seen clearly from the 1st floor, and now I myself can step on the floor of this bridge and see it clearly.
Even the conditions on the first floor can be seen clearly from the top of this bridge, and visitor activities such as feeding fish and several other activities certainly look very enjoyable.
I was so surprised when I arrived at the second floor, even when I started exploring I didn't know whether I was on the second floor or had gone up to the third floor, because some of the rooms went up and down. There were many rooms there that contained various things related to the Aceh tsunami, but I only captured a few events that I thought were interesting.
We must be wondering, what is the relationship between elephants and tsunamis, right? Yes, elephants at that time played a very important role in helping to clean up the ruins of buildings and fallen trees. Moreover, after the tsunami, many buildings were destroyed so that many vehicles or heavy equipment could not enter. So elephants also became helpers after the tsunami at that time, and there was one elephant that was very famous because of its very prominent presence in helping humans at that time and now we can see replicas of the elephant in the statues that I have immortalized above.
There are many places that I myself don't know the meaning of, but if some of these places are interesting, I will still immortalize them.
I kept walking with an excited feeling to continue exploring every ins and outs of this place, to the point where I didn't know which floor I was on, because if I felt lost, I just needed to follow the other visitors Lol
Until I arrived in a room that had been designed in such a way as to reflect the conditions of the city of Banda Aceh after the tsunami.
Even though this is just a replica, just imagining it is already very scary. I don't know whose work this is, but this replica deserves appreciation because it displays every detail clearly. However, there are some original objects on display here, such as cars and motorbikes, which are original objects from the tsunami that were brought to this museum.
And after passing through several other rooms, I finally found a room that had high artistic value and was also related to the Aceh tsunami.
There are several works of art in this room, each of which is themed with the conditions of the city of Banda Aceh after the Tsunami. Seeing these events made me increasingly aware of the preciousness of life. Nature, which initially looks beautiful and amazing, can sometimes turn very scary in the blink of an eye.
I don't know if there are any rooms in this museum that I haven't entered. But to be honest, I'm already feeling tired, even mentally.
When this feeling could no longer be contained, I immediately chose to leave the room and go back down to the first floor, because this was not just about coming, exploring, going home, but this was about the worst experience for the Acehnese people and became a severe trauma for the Acehnese people at that time, and we can still feel this trauma when we visit this tsunami museum.
Along the corridor we can see several historical pictures displayed on the walls of the building.
Some of these images show the Acehnese people receiving aid from various countries around the world and various organizations, and of course what the Acehnese people really needed at that time was food supplies, clean water and accommodation.
Once I arrived on the first floor, I went back to rest there, physical and mental rest is very much needed after we experience emotional stress.
After taking a short break, I finally started walking away from this museum. There are many new things and experiences that I got after visiting and exploring this museum, and you can also feel my experience, because in this post I have summarized it as best as possible.
Note:The Aceh Tsunami occurred on December 26, 2004, precisely at 08:00 in the morning, at that time the people of Banda Aceh were still doing their respective activities as usual, and after that suddenly Banda Aceh was hit by an earthquake measuring 9.3 on the Richter scale. At that time the people of Aceh only thought that it only happened in an earthquake, until 20 minutes after the earthquake occurred, finally large sea waves began to rise to land.
Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends. All of these pictures are purely my own, I took this picture using an Infinix 10 Pro cellphone and edited this picture using the Lightroom application.
