Travel to Blang Padang Park // Multifunctional park in the city center of Banda Aceh

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

Blang Padang Park is a park located in the city center of Banda Aceh, this park is only one kilometer from the city center, and its location is also very close to the Aceh Tsunami Museum and Bustanussalatin Park, and there are still several other parks that are also quite close such as Putro Phang Park, Gunongan Monument, and Aceh Museum. Therefore, if we go to one of these parks, it would be a shame not to visit all the tourist attractions or parks.

From the Simpang Lima monument in the city center of Banda Aceh, it only takes about 4 minutes to get to Blang Padang Park by motorbike, that's one of the things that amazes me about this city, even though in the era of technological development and the modern era it has developed rapidly, especially in urban areas, Banda Aceh City still maintains Aceh's cultural heritage in the form of parks that are still beautiful and natural, so it's a bit strange if there is a protected forest in the city center, but that's the reality.

And it can be said that Blang Padang Park is the neighbor of the Aceh Tsunami Museum, because the distance between the museum and this park is only around 60-80 meters, in fact it has become a habit for visitors who come to this place, usually tourists who come out of the museum will definitely take the time to enter this park, and vice versa.

I visited this Blang Padang park after I came out of the tsunami museum. I came out of the museum feeling tired, physically and mentally tired, so I wanted to visit a quiet place so I could feel calm and relaxed again. Blang Padang Park has an area of 8 hectares and there are many big trees, fields, soccer fields to several other sports fields, monuments, food stalls, cafes, and other buildings, so there will be many places that I can use as a place to rest.

There are actually several gates to enter this park, but I chose this gate because it is a common and busy entrance gate. From this gate I can see several beautiful objects such as the expanse of vast fields, the Seulawah airplane monument, and several food stalls on the edge of this park. However, there is one thing that I find very beautiful and calming, namely the large trees that grow abundantly along the path.

In my area, the trees along this road are rain trees, trees that grow thickly and quickly, and their trunks are wide, so the air under these trees is cool and of course protected from the hot sun.I also often see this rain tree growing on the side of the highway, so that it can block dust pollution and make the air fresher.

I don't remember what time I visited this park, but what is certain is that at that time the sun was very hot, so I had to quickly look for a food stall that was open, so I could order food while resting.

And I just realized that it's fasting month now, so many food stalls are closed, and many tourist attractions are quiet. So I was forced to find another shady place, so I could rest peacefully.

Actually there are many chairs available in this park, but the problem is the hot weather and the chairs do not have a roof so that sunlight can directly hit our bodies, but if you just want to capture its uniqueness, some of these chairs are clearly unique and interesting to look at.

Usually, these chairs are also found on the edges of the field, such as on the edge of a football field, because of course there will be many spectators watching, such as a chair next to this volleyball court.

I rested for about 20 minutes on a chair under a shady tree, after feeling enough, I immediately rushed to explore this place again. Many people visit this park for tourism but many also come to this place to exercise, and the sports that are popular in this park are jogging, playing soccer, volleyball and basketball, usually those who do sports activities are visitors to the area.

And in this park there is also a monument that is very viral and prominent, namely the replica monument of the Seulawah plane.

This is a replica monument of Indonesia's first airplane, an airplane that was purchased by the people of Aceh for Indonesia, but this is only a replica, while I don't know where the original is, perhaps this replica airplane monument is the most striking main object when visiting this park.

However, even though this is just a replica of the monument, it looks like a real plane, from the tires to the wings. To capture the beauty of this monument, I took several pictures from different angles, resulting in some beautiful pictures.

This is my third visit to Blang Padang Park, it is truly a valuable experience to be able to see a plane monument right in front of my eyes, even though it is only a replica plane, but at least this is history for the people of Aceh of course.I don't know the size of this plane, but what is certain is that the size is the same as the original plane, every detail down to the color is made as similar as possible.

And beside this airplane monument there is also another monument.

I don't know for sure what this monument is, but according to some statements from local residents, this is a monument built to commemorate the 2004 Aceh tsunami. Actually, under this monument there is a small monument and there is writing on it, but at that time I didn't approach it because I couldn't stand the hot sun anymore, so I only took pictures of this monument from a distance.

Because there were no food stalls open in this place, I couldn't stand it any longer, so I immediately left the park and looked for a food stall that was still open.Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends. All of these pictures are purely my own, I took this picture using an Infinix 10 Pro cellphone and edited this picture using the Lightroom application.

See you again in my next post ♥️
