TEMAS RIVER PARK // Natural tourist destinations that offer various facilities and infrastructure

Until now I still have a habit of reading news about the city of Takengon, so as not to miss any interesting news and information that happens there, such as news about new tourist attractions that are likely to be interesting enough to visit. When traveling has become my main hobby, I also visit the city of Takengon very often, not caring about the tiredness and the distance that is quite far because the trip to the city of Takengon always makes me satisfied and happy. In the past, I only went to the city of Takengon once a year, but now I can visit the city up to 2 times in one month 😅, whether this is normal or not I don't know.

I returned to travel to the city of Takengon when I got information about a very interesting tourist spot, the tourist spot is called "Temas River Park". From a video that I saw, this tourist spot provides various facilities and infrastructure, there is a camping area, swimming pool, rafting, until we can enjoy the beauty of the natural river that flows rapidly in the tourist spot, seeing the video immediately made me really want to visit and prove it myself, whether the video is in accordance with reality.

The trip started in the morning at exactly seven o'clock, and this time I traveled only with my partner, coincidentally my partner also has the same hobby as me, which is traveling, so I always have a friend when traveling. We arrived in the city center of Takengon exactly at 10 am, and the trip from Bireuen city to Takengon city only took about 3 hours, and that was normal time.

Arriving in the city of Takengon we chose to stop at a food stall first, coincidentally we were also feeling very hungry after this long journey, after eating we immediately continued our journey to the tourist spot, the problem was we didn't know where the tourist spot was, so to get there we just followed the path given by Google Maps and asked some local residents so that we didn't take the wrong road, but in the end I also managed to find the location of the tourist spot, it turns out this place is also quite far from the city center.

Luckily, I managed to find a sign for the tourist attraction on the side of the highway, and from the highway, it only took me about 5 minutes to get to my destination, namely Temas River Park.

This is a view of the tourist spot that I photographed from the top of the hill., while looking at this beautiful view I was also looking for a parking area, this was my first time visiting this place, so everything still looked strange to my eyes. And it turned out that the parking area was right under this hill.

From the parking area, I could see lots of camping tents that had been built in this area. This view looked quite peaceful even under the hot sun.

Since we didn’t have any intention to spend the night in these tents, we just walked to start exploring this place further. After walking a few steps, I finally arrived at a mini waterfall.

It is undeniable that the water is very clear, cold and very refreshing. To get satisfaction, I immediately took off my shoes and started playing water with my partner, but the water in this river is not deep and also small, but you need to know that this is not the main river.

However, the crowd was visible above this river, and I only needed to climb a few steps to get there, and when I got there I was immediately amazed because this place was indeed in accordance with the video I saw on my social media,and it turns out to be true, in this place there is a swimming pool that looks quite natural.

Do you know what makes this pool so special? The water in this pool comes directly from the river, so the officers there do not need to bother changing the pool water, because the water in this pool will continue to flow rapidly, so there is no need to worry, the water is really pure and of course very refreshing.

However, I do not know whether this pond was made by humans or was made naturally by nature, but if you look at it briefly, it is likely that this pond and small river are man-made.And what is even more amazing is that in front of the swimming pool and on the banks of the main river, camping tents have been built, so that visitors who stay there will definitely get satisfaction from the extraordinary views and natural atmosphere.

It turns out that this tourist spot also provides a swimming pool for children, the size is quite large so that it can accommodate many children who want to swim there. The size of this place is also very large, but at that time I chose to stop first at a food stall in this place to rest and also be curious to try the typical culinary from this place.
