Recap of the most extreme experiences while traveling to Takengon city
Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️
On April 12th, precisely on Saturday, I again made a long journey to the city of Takengon, and this journey will be a valuable experience for me, because behind my success in capturing this moment, I also almost had an accident on the most extreme bend called Tajuk enang-enang.We took this trip in a relaxed and unhurried manner, so I was able to capture many beautiful moments. Apart from feeling tired, this trip also gave me many positive impacts, and can be said to be like a reflection for myself.
The route to Takengon is a very extreme route because besides having many bends, we also have to face steep and descending roads, so the moment when we travel to the city of Takengon will be a shame if we don't immortalize it.
When we have entered a quiet road, that's where we will be able to feel the peace given directly by nature, starting from the fresh air, the calm atmosphere, and the strains of natural music that can still be heard clearly, the natural music that I mean is the sound of insects, birds, and animals around the road.
On this trip I also often stopped on the side of the road to rest, considering that I had a fever at that time, so I didn't push myself. And when I stopped, I also took the time to capture every moment so that everything that happened could be recorded clearly.
This road has a high cliff on the right side and a ravine on the left side, and it is highly recommended that we focus on riding a motorbike so that unwanted things do not happen, especially if we travel during the rain. But fortunately on our trip at that time, the weather was very supportive, there were no signs of rain, but still when going on a long trip we have to prepare complete equipment.
And I stopped again at the side of the road, but this time I stopped not to rest, but rather the natural beauty at the side of the road really caught my attention.
I was willing to walk a few steps to the side of the road so I could photograph this view in detail. Actually, many people already know that the path to Takengon is very difficult, but there are still many who do it, as if they really like a challenge.
After capturing it, I immediately continued my journey, maybe after traveling ten kilometers, finally we stopped again on the side of the road, but this time the reason was to wait for some of my friends who were still behind. At that time we chose to stop right at an uphill bend.
It can be seen from the picture above that the road is an uphill bend, but this bend is not the most extreme because bends like this are common on the route to Takengon.
After waiting for about 5 minutes, our friends finally caught up and we immediately continued our journey. Oh yeah, I did this trip with five of my friends, so a trip done together will feel much more enjoyable.
Arriving at this straight road, we immediately accelerated our motorbikes, because straight roads are very difficult to find here, and what made this journey feel very long and distant was the many bends and uphill roads.
This trip initially went normally and smoothly, but suddenly changed when one of my friends' motorbike tires went flat, so we had to quickly find a repair shop that was open, but the problem was that there were very few residential areas on this road, and we only found a repair shop after traveling a distance of approximately two kilometers.
We spent about ten minutes in the workshop, and after everything was finished we immediately continued our journey, and this time we did it more carefully. After covering a distance of more or less 20 kilometers, we stopped again on the side of the road to rest.
We stopped right on the edge of the cliff, but there was no need to worry because there was already a guardrail on the side of the road. From the side of the road we could see how terrible the cliff on the side of the road was. I felt a little scared when I saw it, especially when I imagined strange things.
Just looking at it made me step back a little, this ravine looks very deep and even looks like a small valley. And from a distance we can also see the road which proves that the road to the city of Takengon was built in the middle of the mountain.
After getting enough rest, we finally continued our journey. And on this journey, I finally arrived at an area of old buildings or unfinished buildings.
I really marked this place, because once I arrived in this area, the distance to the most extreme bend (Tajuk enang-enang) was not far anymore, and I had to immediately prepare myself to face the sharp bend.
And it only took about 20 minutes, finally we arrived at this bend area. Well, this is where my bad experience happened, so when I was going down the bend, suddenly the front brake of my motorbike failed and it immediately made me very panicked, but at that time I immediately turned my motorbike to the left and immediately hit the concrete, but fortunately in this incident my friend and I were fine and we only felt a little trauma at that time. Actually the rear brake of my motorbike was still working well, but this all happened because of panic.
Seeing this incident, several of my other friends immediately approached us, and to calm our minds, we chose to rest for a moment there.
This is not just a bend, it is a combination of bends and steep roads, so when we want to turn we have to pay close attention to the vehicles in front of us. Look at this bend, do you dare to pass through it in heavy rain?
After feeling better, I decided to continue the journey, and when going down this steep road, I only used the rear brake, and luckily I managed to get through it.
I felt very scared when I saw several big cars passing this corner, and I could only say to myself, luckily I'm still safe.
This was a very valuable experience for me, and thanks to this incident I realized many things about when we want to travel, it is better for us to prepare ourselves, check every tool and vehicle, and make sure everything is safe.
Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends. All of these pictures are purely my own, I took this picture using an Infinix 10 Pro cellphone and edited this picture using the Lightroom application.
