KUALA LANGSA // Boats are a common means of transportation in floating villages - Visit, see and try new things in life

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

In this post I will share my experience when visiting Kuala Langsa village, but this is not an ordinary visit because on this visit I will see and try many new things in the village, one of which is trying a boat that has long been a public transportation for people in the floating village (Kuala Langsa village). I tried to ride a boat and go around the river, see firsthand the activities and activities of people who work as fishermen, of course this is a very extraordinary experience because I managed to get many new things and learn from a difference to complement each other in our lives.

I didn't do it alone because I was accompanied by a friend and a small child, they are my new friends but they are very experienced about boats, coincidentally in the village there are several places to rent boats with various variations, there are small and large boats, here We can also choose a boat that already uses an engine or a manual rowing boat, coincidentally at that time we chose to rent a manual rowing boat the main reason is because the price is cheaper which is around IDR 30,000 in Indonesian currency or the equivalent of 10 hive prices for now.

In my area, small boats like this are often called canoes, they are small and can only accommodate a maximum of 3 people,we have to use our own energy to move the boat, namely by rowing it,it's not easy, but it's more than enough.

After navigating the river for about 200 meters, we finally found the parking area for the fishermen's boats,if I'm not mistaken, the parking area was also behind their house. It's customary for fishermen to check and clean their boats before heading out to sea, and what I'm saying is based on what I saw at the time.

According to information I received from my friend, this is a river that flows directly to the sea, so I can conclude that the fishermen here use this river as access to the open sea. Along this river, we can see many amazing views, but the most important and frequently seen are the views of the mangrove trees that line both sides of the river.

I am not surprised by the large number of mangrove trees in this place, especially on the banks of the river that I am currently crossing,as we know, the mangrove forest in Langsa City is one of the largest mangrove forests in Southeast Asia,it is so large that a tourist attraction called the Langsa City Mangrove Forest has been created.

I can't be sure how far we have sailed this river, but what is certain is that we have found a lot of new things that I may have never seen before, there are a lot of boats passing by on this river, even some people still use boats as a means of transportation to shop at the market, I also managed to find many fishermen who were setting fishing nets in the river, besides that we also managed to find many anglers fishing in this river, with these discoveries making me increasingly believe that differences in each region exist.

We also managed to find several tributaries or branch of a river, but we prefer to just sail along the main river. Because at that time we rented a manual rowing boat, so we didn't dare to go further down the river because it would be very tiring, especially since we would also be rowing the boat on the way home later. This was a truly extraordinary experience for me, this journey succeeded in bringing me to an environment full of differences, sincerity and different ways of surviving.

The problem I felt at that time was dizziness because the small boat was very rocking.
