The Bare Bottle: Getting Our Coffee Fix in Seminyak

In Bali, you drink Bali coffee. Yep. Sounds obvious, but without the many coffee shops with expresso machines like you have in Australia, sometimes the best you can get is a spoonful of coffee in a cup, where the vortex created by stirring settles the grains to the bottom, and you can drink your coffee. You get used to it. I even drink black coffee in Bali, because it seems a bit much asking for oat milk and I don't really like drinking milk in the tropics anyway.

However, Bali also caters for western tastes, and you'll find good coffee shops whereever you go with a quick google search, especially in more busy, populated areas. It'll be more expensive, but you'll get your fix, that's for sure.

In Seminyak, we popped in to The Bare Bottle on Jl. Camplung Tanduk for our coffee fix. It has very narrow frontage so a bit of a blink and miss it kinda shop, but worth seeking out if you are staying at that end of town.

The teal/green vibes were cute as was the signage. It was clearly well thought out to be a trendy and welcoming place for coffee nuts, and the warm lighting and air conditioning gave an especially calm and welcoming vibe from the hustle of the street. Cute half bottles were stuck to the counter for their 'bare bottle' theme.

Of course you could get cold drinks like fresh fruit juice like many places in Bali, but we were here for the coffee. We were tempted by a pastry - many coffee shops sell croissants and the like as well, but since we just had a full buffet brekky at the hotel (and really shit coffee) all we wanted was an oat latte, which we got - and it was delicious.

It's rare we get coffee out - hence why I rarely post in Cinnamon Cup Coffee - but we were on holiday, so a treat was okay. As for prices, it was cheaper than Melbourne anyway - an oat latte was abotu $4.00 Aussie but you can get an expresso for around $3.

Sitting at work in Australia, I'd fairly kill for a Bare Bottle coffe

With Love,

That teal/green color always evokes happiness in me... I have a lot of household goods in that color- sheets, watering can, ice cube trays... hehe so with that and the general clean and relaxed vibe of the place, I can see why it was a winner for you two!

I've always wanted to visit Bali! I'm envious of your cool travels 😍 Thanks for the glimpse into your day!

It's certainly relaxed. It's a very calming green isn't it - reminds me of '50s teasets.
