Bitter gourd is definitely so specific to your area. We don't tend to grow it here, or use it, so I'm keen to learn some recipes and maybe grow it one year - only in summer, obviously!

Bitter gourd is a very delicious and nutritious vegetable. You can stir fry it, sautee it with egg or even make a bitter gourd salad. You can also make stuffed Bitter gourd which we call Rellenong Ampalaya. If you haven't eaten it yet, it's a twist of bitterness balanced with flavorful stuffing. 😊 💚
