RE: kali energy into kali yuga

I adore kali. She saved me during covid. I carried a figurine of her from India into the UK. She's on my windowsill now.

She's so fierce and strong and wild.. and misunderstood. You've nailed the kali energy here too, goddess of time... I was thinking that too.. .. this energy of destruction and creation has been going for a good long while. But from death...life. one of my favorite poems I wrote was this one, in 2020. Kali of the hedgerows.

i have a feeling that the 'better' which is to come may not be 'better' by our standards, and that we might be trying to apply to the future an outdated paradigm.
It makes PERFECT SENSE.
Was also thinking that about how we see technology. We cannot FATHOM the power of the exponential and simply cannot conceptualize how dramatically things will change in less time than we think. I think Kali energy is there too.
The image link above seems broken to me. Trying again here.
I really enjoyed your poem @riverflows. It had a very evocative presence, and the juxtaposition of images like 'Even in the kind spring, she is the wrinkled berries on the rotting floor' reveals Kali's dual nature. Wonderful
@saltycat that's so kind of you. I'm glad I managed to capture a tiny bit of Kali here and for it yo be recognized. It truly was like that - as Spring appeared in the UK death still seemed everywhere as the virus 🦠 spread. Yet in nature, it was obvious that death and life joined hands... And even in the blooming, there was decay. We seem to forget that. It's often joy or nothing.
'open your eyes' must be a growl or not at all. indeed. i really loved your poem <3 and yes, there's something more complete, Christianity does lose much pretending it doesn't see the destructive, wrathful side of God anymore. a god needs both sides because otherwise they're not a conitnuum. thank you for sharing that, really. <3
Thankyou. That poem always brings me back to that time, wandering the English countryside after being in India and those early wild days of the pandemic. The Hindi gods and goddesses have often been a comfort and a way of understanding the world to me. Perhaps because, as you say, the Christian God doesn't quote cut itt.
