When management goes too far.
My landlord was the first person who came to mind when I saw this topic. He's what I would call a super manager, he tries to manage everything in life, and it shows, even in his building.
We only ended up living there because we couldn’t find a better place at the time. We hoped to move out as soon as we found an alternative. Throughout our short stay, we lived in fear especially during heavy rain or strong wind, we'll be extra worried the building might collapse and this was one of our prayer point; that the building would not collapse till we vacate the premises.
His management style doesn’t stop at the house. Even with airtime, he’s economical. He’ll end a call even when the other person is still talking just to serve his airtime. After using his phone, he turns it off immediately to save battery. Because of this, he’s often unreachable. This has got me thinking: what if there’s an emergency and one tries to reach him and his line is off? Could that not be disastrous?
To be honest, that’s not really a conversation.
Thanks for reading.
