The Stray Bullet- When courage meets chaos.
The title reminds me of the sorrowful fate that befell my secondary school classmate- Henry who was so brave and seemed to fear nothing.
It was a quiet night with dry streets and calm atmosphere. Suddenly, a loud crash shattered the silence. A gang of robbers had invaded a nearby shop, their movements was quick that they may not be caught. Shouts erupted as the thieves tried to escape. Some brave residents, angered and fed up, rushed out of their homes and began to chase after the robbers.
Henry heard the commotion. Without a second thought, he jumped out of bed and went outside. When he saw the group of men chasing the thieves, he joined them instantly. That was the extent to which Henry was brave and always ready to act.
Just then, police sirens wailed in the distance and soon, officers arrived at the scene. On noticing how tense it was, the police shouted for everyone to stop running or they'll shoot. But the warning was not loud enough to be heard because of how chaotic the environment was. No one wanted to let the thieves escape, not even Henry. Then the policeman shot. Unfortunately enough, the bullet got Henry and immediately, he passed on.
A bullet that was fired to disperse the crowd and restore control and calmness found Henry, not even any of the culprit but innocent Henry. What a life!
