No Publicity Please: The secret philanthropist.
My uncle is a quiet giver. A true philanthropist, but one who prefers to do his good works in secret. He often visits motherless babies’ homes, donates generously, and reaches out to people in his community with support and empowerment. Yet, you’ll never hear him talk about it, not even to boast at home.
To him, giving is an act of service to God, not a means to gain praise from people. He always says, “True wealth is when you have enough to share,” and insists that God is the source of all he has.
I remember a time he donated 100 bags of cement for a church building project. The pastor, overwhelmed with joy, wanted to announce his name during service. But my uncle gently stopped him and said, “No publicity please. Let God who sees in secret reward openly.”
People continue to pray for him, even without knowing all he’s done. And that’s exactly how he wants it.
