Ladies of hive community contest#245: If I Could Be Any Animal, I’d Be a Dove.

Of all the animals in the vast and diverse animal kingdom, if I had the chance to become one, I would choose to be a dove. There is something deeply calming and sacred about this creature that really attracts me. While other animals boast strength, speed, or size, the dove carries something rare and powerful- peace. And this quality that is associated with me.

Doves are often seen gliding through the sky with effortless grace. They don't rush or compete. They fly in silence, free from the noise and struggle of the ground. If I were a dove, I would rise above the chaos and distractions of the world. I would let the wind carry me gently as I observe life from a peaceful distance, not needing to fight for attention or survival. Just existing peacefully and purposefully.

I also admire what the dove represents. In many cultures and religions, doves are symbols of purity, love, and hope. In the Bible, a dove returned to Noah with an olive branch, a simple, yet powerful message that the storm had ended and peace had come.

I would love to be a symbol like that; a quiet sign that brighter days are near. A dove reminds people to breathe, to calm down, and to believe in the possibility of peace, no matter how troubled the world may seem.

Another reason I would choose to be a dove is the way they live in pairs and often mate for life. That speaks of loyalty and commitment; two values I hold dear. Doves are not just solitary dreamers; they build soft nests, raise their young with care, and stay connected. Their quiet strength is not in isolation, but in how they live with tenderness and purpose.

In a world filled with roaring lions, fast cheetahs, and cunning foxes, I choose the dove, not because it is loud or dominant, but because it dares to be different. It survives not by force, but by being gentle. And that teaches me that gentleness is not weakness. In fact, it is one of the greatest forms of strength.

So yes, if given the chance to be any animal, I would not hesitate to become a dove. I would spread my wings, float on the breeze, and whisper peace to a world that desperately needs it. I would be a quiet reminder that calm is possible, that kindness is powerful, and that even in a loud world, you can choose to be still and still be seen.

What a lovely response to the contest. Doves are very peaceful. I often see what we call a mourning dove. They are called this as the cooing sound they make can be considered mournful, but I've always heard it as peaceful.

Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!

This reminds me of the song; on the wings of a snow white dove, He sends His pure sweet love, a sign from above, on the wings of a dove.. Every time I see one I find myself humming the tune.

A dove🕊️ is a very great and sweet choice. Glad that you identify with it. Thank you for sharing❤️.
