Characteristically quite

People never find it hard to tell my twin sister and me apart. We may look alike, but we act very differently. I like to talk, laugh, and make friends easily, while she is characteristically quiet, speaking only when she truly has something to say.

At school or family gatherings, people quickly notice the difference. I’m the one in the middle of every conversation, and she’s the one sitting calmly, smiling and listening. That quiet nature of hers makes it easy for everyone to know who’s who.
