TEACHING YOUR KID GOOD EATINNG HABIT A MOST FOR EVERY PARENT

Your diet is the most important aspect of your life, what you give to your body your body will always react to it accordingly, good eating habit encompasses nutrition down to the quality and also the time you consume your meal, what you choose to eat in the morning for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner affects your health. There are different classes of food, and how you mix these classes of food in the right proportion is what is referred to a balance diet. Your body as a human from your enfant stage to your adulthood has different nutritional needs in its transition. Learning this at an early stage will help stay health and benefits you for the rest of your life.

As a parent, it is expected to teach your child what to eat, how to eat what to eat, the quantity of what to eat and when to eat what to eat. As a child, what mattered more to my mother was for us to eat to our satisfaction, not really putting to consideration, the richness of the meal, if it was a balanced diet or how efficient the meal she prepared for us to eat. It was her belief that in making us eat as much as we want will prevent us from eating outside what she provided for us. I grew up eating what was available and didn’t put any importance in the quality of what I ingested to my system.

Parent should be thoroughly schooled in my opinion on the subject of balance diet, and the importance of food to the body system, they should be informed that eating is not only to satisfy hunger but also to provide for the body basic nutritional needs so as to function properly.
Deficiency in certain class of food may result in several kind of disease including eating disorder.


How can we help a child to develop good eating habit?

Children learn better by example, what they see us eat and enjoy, they tend to follow. Children can also be taught the benefit of eating, the importance of a particular kind of food to your system, what happens when you have little or no amount of it. Children can also be taught through motivation. You can motivate a child to learn to eat what you want him/her to eat. For instance, a child that want to be strong can be motivated to eat a certain that is attributed to body building.



In Conclusion, it is very important to teach a child good eating habit at an early stage in their life, for when you train a child early in a way, he/she tends to grow with such habit. It is advised as parents, that it is your primary job and should be a goal to consciously teach your kids and make sure they understand what “good eating habit” is and how important it is to their health in general, both at an early stage of their life and also how it will shape their lives in future.
