I have always been this simple fellow that wants a simple but comfortable life—a life actually without worries and at the same time being able to provide my basic needs without the assistance of another.

Growing up, I was not a child that wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a banker, or whatever every other child wanted to be when they grew up. I only longed to be okay in the future, a man who could care for his loved ones, have a good roof over his family, and cater well for his family’s needs, living a simple life in a suburban environment.

I have also dreamt of becoming a philanthropist, having more than enough at some point to help the needy. Sometimes I feel strongly that my purpose on this earth is to care for those who have nobody to care for them and to provide for those in need.

My life changed partly when I was about graduating from high school. This was when I decided on becoming an Economist in order to become the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in the future. I was so determined that I applied to study Economics at the University of Abuja. The man who inspired me into having this dream was the then-governor of the central bank, Prof. Charles Soludo, whom I so much admired and wanted to be like him.

But with the economic situation of the country, I was unable to further my studies after my first degree, limiting my qualification and chances of working in the Central Bank of Nigeria, much less any financial institution in the country. I presently work as a data entry officer at a courier company, still keeping my dreams alive that I will have the chance to further my education in an internationally recognized institution to improve my chances of achieving my dreams.
