vaccines according to the knowledge i have is an act where living pathogens of a certain disease is introduced to the body of a person or animal in order for the body to gain resistance or fight against it in a case of a future infection. I have known vaccination to be a very effective way to prevent sickness and diseases. I will quickly talk about vaccination in poultry/animal farming. Poultry birds, like broilers for instance, are usually given two basic and important vaccines: the Gumboro and the Lasota vaccination. After these vaccines have been administered, there is always a higher chance of survival. Only in cases where there is a failed vaccination will you have a record of the breakout of these diseases. Birds are also vaccinated for pox and what have you, and to my understanding and experience with poultry, these vaccinations are very effective.

For every newborn, the vaccination that is most common is the polio vaccine. I was told that I was given a shot of the vaccine too when I was little. This vaccine protects us from poliomyelitis, a highly contagious disease that can cause paralysis. I have heard a series of troubling news about children, mostly in the northern region of the country, who suffer from this illness as a result of missing out on the vaccination.

The COVID-19 period posed a serious challenge as the whole world was in a lockdown. Economic and other activities were all put on hold because of the COVID-19 scenario. Unfortunately for me, I still believe that COVID-19 was just propaganda, to what end I am not aware. The symptoms of this illness included fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of taste and smell, etc. The most troubling thing about COVID-19 was the fact that it was transmittable. Although at the rate to which it was moving at a time, I expected the virus to have spread to all parts of the world. A lot of people are yet to take this vaccine and have been in contact with the said COVID-19.

Apart from the COVID-19 scenario, I have no doubts about the effects and importance of vaccination, as I have come to believe in its positive effects in curbing a lot of diseases.
