A NATURAL WITH NUMBERS
Mathematics was my Favourite subject in primary school. I remember how effortlessly it came to me. While my classmates struggled with its difficulty, I often wondered what made it so challenging for them. One of the reasons my teachers loved me so much back then in school was because I was very good at maths, not genius good but I was really good at the subject.
In my family, mathematics was so easy for everyone, making all my siblings very good at the subject and at some points, winning competitions in mathematics in a regional category.
From my primary school days, I consistently ranked among the top pupils in mathematics in my class, which made me consistently represent my class in quizzes organized back then in school, you couldn't name the top three pupils or students in class and not include me on the list.
I remember clearly how my older brother would boast proudly about me to his friends and anyone who would listen about my stronghold on numbers. He would call me from school occasionally to request his account number or direct others to me for contact details of our parents whenever he misplaced his diary, knowing fully well that I would be able to say them off heart; that was the extent to which he trusted my abilities to hold and remember numbers.
For me, mathematics felt straightforward because it primarily involved a series of steps. Once you grasped and understood the step-by-step approach to mathematics, you'd find the subject remarkably easy.
Another reason I love mathematics was its definitive nature, there weren't multiple correct answers. It was a direct subject, and with practice and an open mind, its simplicity became clear to anyone.
Mathematics has some simple formulas for multiplication and other problem-solving, which are easier and faster ways to solve problems. One I learned early in primary school was multiplication. When multiplying a number by the power of 10, you simply take all the zeros from the multiplier and attach them to the end of the original number.
Consider this example:
- 234 multiply 1000
To solve this, you simply take the three zeros from 1000 and place them after the 4 in 234, resulting in 234,000.
Mathematics was truly fun for me. Even on days when I wasn't taking school too seriously, I rarely performed poorly in it. While I might have difficulties in other subjects, I consistently excelled in mathematics.
This made me remember a time in my senior secondary school days, this should be in my SS2, the topics for mathematics that term were so simple, whenever I was taught or the teacher came around, it got me so excited, my classmates usually found it odd to why I get so excited whenever it came to our mathematics class, it was nothing other than the fact that I enjoyed having to learn and understand mathematics, whenever I was taught something or learnt something and I was having a good understanding of the subject, I usually get excited and for mathematics it was always. At the end of the term, after our examination, while I had a perfect score in mathematics, the next person in my class had 31, leaving others having less than 30. The news spread so fast, and it was a different level of respect I got from all the junior students in my school.

I thought many people run away from mathematics but with you now, I think we are much that actually love mathematics. It's really fun when you are dealing with numbers and figures, following steps to arrive at answer. Your write is nice sir @rishagamo!!
Yeah..mathematics is really fun..
Thank you for reading through
You are welcome Sir
Mathematics is indeed fun except for some complex questions the will warrant you to think over and over again. But once the correct result is obtained, the Joy that follows is great.
