The most recent Town Hall revealed several implementations of topics that were recently being discussed in proposals that ended up being approved, such as Land 1.75, the new Voucher card, and the new card rental system. However, among the news, there was a small detail that caught my attention: “Added an Academy panel to the Guild pages”. While looking at the Guild Academy, I realized that I could share some insights and tips and also spread the word about this new feature to new Splinterlands players. Why join a Guild and Brawls?

The guild is often the first contact players have when they join any game, often before they even discover that the game has Discord and other media. Therefore, I believe that finding a guild that helps its members and seeks constant improvement is a great alternative for Splinterlands players, because the members will help you when you have any questions.

Currently, High Tier guilds are looking for active players even if they are not the best of all with an evolved deck. This is because there was a proposal, which counts as a victory if one of the teams participates and the other does not participate, so having active players is already better than someone who does not participate. Remember that a good guild gives you access to evolved buildings and also to a greater amount of Merits and Staked SPS with each victory, helping you progress within the Splitnerlands universe.

Guild x Merits - The Importance of Gladiator cards today!

One of the biggest benefits of joining a guild and being active in Brawls is that you can earn the “Merits” token. With 2000 of these tokens you can go to the guild store and buy a Gladius Case that comes with 5 random cards from the Gladiators collection. These cards are very different from other Splinterlands cards because they come with a very strong ability, called Bloodlust. This ability causes cards that have it to receive +1 to all their stats if they defeat an opponent with the last hit, that is, +1 to all Attacks (Melee, Ranged, Magic), Speed, Health and Shield.

These cards were initially not as popular because they were restricted to Guild Brawls. However, their scope of use has increased significantly with the Reward Summoners from the Chaos Legion set, as their Conscript ability allows them to use a Gladitor in the match, making a card with BloodLust that has great stats now usable in Ranked matches.

Along the same lines, a Ruleset called “Are you Not Entertained?” was also added, which can appear in ranked battles and has the same effect as the summoner above, but without the need to use a summoner to do so. This rule allows you to summon an additional Gladiator card for the battle. So, together with a Summoner who has Conscript, the player can also call 2 cards from this collection into combat and whenever they defeat an opponent, their stats will increase. If this starts to happen frequently during the battle, the likely result will be the gladiator's victory!

Tip: Merits at Gwen's Glint Shop!

Still about Merits tokens, there is a tip that I usually mention when I talk about the uses of Glint. There is another way to get these tokens other than in the Guild Brawls, which is in Gwen’s Glint Shop. You can exchange 200 Glint for 200 Merits in the first batch (best cost-benefit), having the best 1:1 conversion between tokens, and it is easier to get glint since in every ranked battle you receive a little of the merit that you need to wait for the Brawls to be available.

The interesting thing about always looking for ways to get Merits is that as they are converted into Gladius Cards you end up improving your collection and thus your chances of winning in brawls and now in ranked games ends up increasing, as your cards become stronger.

Porque participar de uma Guild e de Brawls?

A guild muitas vezes é o primeiro contato contato dos jogadores quando entram em qualquer jogo, muitas vezes antes mesmo de descobrirem que o jogo tem Discord e outras mídias. Por isso, eu acredito que encontrar uma guild que ajude os seus membros e busquem constante melhoria seja uma ótima alternativas para os jogadores de Splinterlands, porque os membros vão te ajudar quando tiver alguma dúvida.

Atualmente as guild de Tier Alto estão buscando jogadores ativos mesmo que não seja o melhor de todos com um deck evoluído. Isso porque houve uma proposta, que conta como vitória se um dos times participar e o outro não participar, assim ter jogadores ativos já é melhor do que alguém que não participa. Lembrando que uma boa guild te dá acesso à construções evoluídas e também à uma maior quantidade de Merits e Staked SPS a cada vitória, ajudando no seu progresso dentro do universo de Splitnerlands.

Guild x Merits - A Importância das cartas Gladiators atualmente!

Um dos maiores benefícios de participar de uma guild e estar sempre ativo nos Brawls é que você consegue ganhar o token “Merits”. Com 2000 desses tokens você consegue ir na loja da guild e comprar um Gladius Case que vem com 5 cartas aleatórias da coleção Gladiators. Essas cartas tem um grande diferentes frente as demais cartas do Splinterlands porque elas vem com um habilidade muito forte, que se chama Bloodlust. Essa habilidade faz com que as cartas que a tenham, recebam +1 em todos os seus status se elas derrotarem um oponente com o último hit, ou seja, é +1 em todos os Ataques (Melee, Ranged, Magic), Speed, Health e Shield.

Inicialmente, essas cartas não eram tão visadas, porque eram restritas ao uso nos Brawls das Guilds. Entretanto, o seu escopo de utilização aumentou bastante com a os summoners de Recompensa da coleção Chaos Legion, porque sua habilidade Conscript permite que eles utilizem um Gladitor na partida, fazendo com que uma carta com BloodLust que tem grandes status agora seja usada nas partidas Ranked.

Ainda nesse caminho, foi adicionado também uma Ruleset chamada “Are you Not Entertained?” que pode aparecer nas batalhas ranked que tem o mesmo efeito do summoner acima, mas sem precisar utilizar um summoner para isso. Essa regra permite summoner uma carta Gladiator adicional para a batalha. Assim, junto com um Summoner que tenha Conscript o jogador pode ainda chamar 2 cartas dessa coleção para o combate e sempre que derrotarem um oponente seus status aumentaram e caso isso comece a ocorrer com frequência durante a batalha o resultado provável será a vitória do gladiador!

Dica: Merits na Gwen’s Glint Shop!

Ainda sobre os tokens Merits existe uma dica que eu geralmente comentou quando falo sobre os usos de Glint. Existe uma outra forma de conseguir esses tokens sem ser nos Guilds Bralws, que é no Gwen’s Glint Shop. Você pode trocar na primeiro batch (melhor custo x benefício) 200 Glint por 200 Merits, tendo a melhor conversão de 1:1 entre os tokens, sendo que é mais fácil conseguir glint já que em toda batalha ranked você recebe um pouco do que o merit que você precisa esperaros Brawls estarem disponíveis.

O interessante de buscar sempre formas de conseguir Merits é que como eles são convertidos em Cartas Gladius você acaba melhorando a sua coleção e assim suas chances de vitórias no brawls e agora nas rankeds acaba aumentando, já que as suas cartas vão ficando mais fortes.
