More anatomy practice: Vef!

Right! Time for some more practice, this time on a personal project of mine I’ve decided to try out. I’ll reveal what it is later- y’all never guess what I’m doin’!

So I started with a rough start, a general idea of an average athletic male build with fairly sweaty scruffy hair then adding the shorts and shirt on top of that. Unfortunately I didn’t take snaps of the sketches but this is basically what my end result was.

However it ABSOLUTELY has its flaws. Specifically the back and the clothes were looking a bit off as well as the abs and waist. Soooo I played around and fixed them as I saw fit with advice from another artist.

Starting with said midsection I changed the lines for the muscle definition to a more general area. I also removed the pelvic line as it looked a bit odd in line with the fingers.

Also something I have learned that I recommend for others is that you should try getting a new perspective- literally- by flipping your scketch. I spotted a lot of odd lines and weird proportions doing this!

Doing this I actually noticed that the bottem hem of the shirt was waaaay to twisted so I lowered and straightened it until it looked a lot more natural.

Afterwards I also thinned out the back as it was looking somewhat disgusting with just how much it was bulging out. I also changed the lines of the shirt to flow a bit better as well as shift and add to the shorts!

This is still a work in progress so this piece will be a while in the making. I’ve also decided to make my second Skeleton Page- DIGITAL!

Yes! My second Skeleton Page will indeed be digital, which allows me a lot more room to produce a PROPER piece. I’m also using my dad’s iPad which has a stylus pencil thingie so I can ACTUALLY DRAW INSTEAD OF USING MY DAMN FINGER!! Haha!!

I’ll keep y’all updated on things, I’m also planning a blod review for the first 4 episodes of Hazbin Hotel (don’t expect a glowing review, my dissapointmens are many) so I’ll get around to that eventually!

Hope y’all enjoy your day and happy drawing!

Based on the rules of this community, I think you need to post more progress shots. I am really interested in digital drawings. It’s actually the future, I am stock in black and white painting for now😏but with time I’ll get there.
