Lose and Lost

It wasn't sharp as she anticipated, yet the blunt force was enough to send her meters away.

She coughed violently as she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen.

She looked at her bloodied hands grimly.

'This is bad', she thought.

Leo looked at her with concern.

"Are you fine?"

She immediately hide her hands from his sight.

"Of course, I am", she said with mock confidence.

Leo sighed in relief, but he suddenly scowled when he noticed her bloodied hands.

"What's that? Don't tell me you get hit?"

"No...it's not critical", she assured him.

Still he looked at her suspiciously. It's evident he's not believing her.

She was about to give him fake assurances again when a sudden pain assaulted her senses.

Her vision abruptly blurred and together with it was a high frequency buzzing sound that drown her noisy heartbeat.

It was so loud that she can't contain it anymore.

She howled as it continue to attack her.

"Lena! Lena! Snapped out of it—

That was the last thing she heard before darkness consumed her completely.
