I've updated the MUSEUM OF POSTCARD ART blog! There are now 18 different pieces that humans (and other entities) can peruse on the site at their leisure. I hope to eventually get the entire archived catalog uploaded to the site, and then I can work on scanning the NEW cards that we've collected... (There are MANY!) HEY, ALL YOU WEIRDOS and PSYCHIC SOLDIERS OUT THERE IN DREAM LAND!

Mariah and I (and the fam) have been DOING a lot lately, which is strange. I'm more comfortable THINKING about doing things or REMEMBERING doing things than I am GETTING UP AND GOING, but Mariah is still young and full of SPICE, so she likes to get out of the house and rumble around... Here is a shortish list of some of our recent adventures:

***Late Oct. / early Nov. 2022 - A whole BUNCH of us went to Disneyland, California, for about five days (if my memory serves me correctly, and it might not.) It was fun, except for the fact that I was sicker than a very sick dog the whole time we were there... (I vectored all over the place!) Still enjoyable, and I got some decent photos!

***18 Apr. 2023 - Mariah and I finally got our chance to witness THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS in concert at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon. (We bought the tickets WAY back in 2020, but things were postponed!) It was a great, fun, upbeat, entertaining show!

***27 May 2023 - Mariah, Frankie, Alec, Felicity (the Toddler Terror), Elise, and I all drove to Enchanted Forest (in Turner, Oregon), and had a great day visiting fairy-tale land! Then, on the way home, we stopped in Salem at La Hacienda Real for Mexican food. It's probably our favorite Mexican restaurant! (Probably...)

***1 Jun. 2023 - Mariah and I saw Duran Duran, Bastille, and Nile Rogers / Chic in concert at the MODA Center in Portland, Oregon. We didn't want to pay $50 for parking, so we found a sketchy, dark, evil smelling pay garage about a mile from the venue, which was only $5.00 for the evening. We both agreed that we might pay the extra to park closer next time, if we ever have enough money to go to a show again... The PERFORMERS were all fantastic, by the way.

And that's why we're always broke. We have NO (ZERO / ZILCH) ability to save money, cuz as soon as we have a few extra bux, we're off to the beach or to a concert or running to a theme park somewhere... We are RICH in experiences, but dead busted when it comes to cash... I guess that's okay. What good is MONEY if not for going towards awesome experiences??? That's what I want to know?

And buying books and music and chocolate chip cookies...but AGAIN these are excellent items for creating WONDERFUL experiences... JUST DO IT! (Or so they say...)

I made the grandkid come outside today. She is playing with modeling dough...

Personally, I've been reading a book on programming in "C." I don't plan on doing mucn "C" programming, but even just reading one or two chapters per night is helping me understand the fundamentals.

Honestly, it's tedious - boring as HELL - but it might prove useful to understand these concepts. (As Douglas Rushkoff said, you gotta program or BE PROGRAMMED...) I've noticed that some other programming language, like Scratch and Unity, build off the basics established by "C." Maybe someday I'll build my own horror / rpg / art "game" using my drawings and these newly acquired skills... Maybe...

I should read the TEZOS white paper. (I think I've already downloaded it - just haven't READ IT, yet.) Someday, I'd love to set up a Tezos node... (To be PART OF SOMETHING...)

Been in a bit of a funk lately - not sick, just BLAH...I think I need some DIRECTION or MOTIVATION... Maybe I should create a new short term / long term goals list... It's nice to have a point...
