Coffee is culture - TCSP week 141
Hello everyone.
I'm Cuban, from Pinar del Río, but I've been living in Pamplona with my family for a little over five years now. So, when you ask me to think of something related to coffee, everything comes to mind, since coffee is an inherent part of my culture.

Even here in Spain, we still prepare coffee the same way we did in Cuba. We can't go without our morning coffee and the one after every meal.
It's a wonderful thing, because whenever I sit on the balcony or in front of the computer, with a hot cup of coffee in my hands, I feel like I'm back home.

My beloved homeland smells of coffee in the mornings.
I do miss, though, going out to meet up with friends in cafes. I miss sitting in those literary cafes and talking about literature, about life, around our steaming cups of coffee.
Something very beautiful that I miss about my country is that, wherever I went, I was always offered a cup of coffee. It was common for me to drink up to five cups of coffee between my home and my job.

Sometimes, of course, I had to decline some of them, but it's always a joy to be invited for coffee and conversation.
Because that's what coffee is: an excuse to talk about good things, about life, about dreams, about art, about hope.
Perhaps that's why it's part of our culture, because it's a source of joy and pleasant memories.
