TOPIC: DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE HEADING SOMEWHERE?

As the time for David's passing approached, he imparted wisdom to his son Solomon, saying "I am about to go the way of all the earth. So be strong and show yourself a man"(1 Kings 2:1-2).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Everyone is on a journey, but do you know where you are headed to?

Therefore, have a clear destination in mind and set goals to reach it.
Don't be afraid to ask for guidance or help along the way.
Stay true to your values and principles, even in the face of challenges.
Embrace growth and learning opportunities, as they will shape you into a better person.
Remember that life is precious and time is limited, so make the most of every moment.

MESSAGE

Whether we are aware of it or not, each day brings us closer to our ultimate destination. Our attitudes and actions determine where that destination will be. Some individuals have clear goals in mind while others are unsure of their path. There are even those who don't believe they have any particular destination at all.
The truth is that regardless of one's awareness or beliefs, everyone is heading somewhere.
King David reminds his son Solomon as he approaches his final moments that he too must prepare for this inevitable journey.
Dear reader, do you know where your journey will lead? Are you certain that your path leads toward being present with the Lord rather than absent from Him?
Jesus proclaimed "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).
If we fail to encounter Jesus during our earthly lives then we risk losing our way towards eternity with God. It does not matter what beliefs or faiths we hold; if Christ has not been accepted into our hearts then we may face sorrowful regret in death.
It would be wise for us all to ensure that we are following Christ so as to rest in heaven alongside Him when our journeys come to an end.

CALL TO SURRENDER

To give your life over to Jesus say this prayer: Lord Jesus I come before You as a sinner seeking forgiveness for my wrongdoings. I invite You into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me by Your grace alone.

FOLLOWING CHRIST

Accepting Jesus into our hearts is the first step towards a life of purpose and meaning. It means surrendering our will to His and following Him as our Lord and Savior. This decision may not always be easy, but it is worth it.
Following Christ requires us to live according to His teachings and example. We must love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love others as ourselves. We must also seek to serve others in humility and compassion.

As we journey through life with Christ, we will face challenges and struggles. But we can take comfort in knowing that He is with us every step of the way. He strengthens us when we are weak, comforts us when we are hurting, and guides us when we are lost.

So let us commit ourselves to following Christ wholeheartedly. Let us seek Him daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. And let us trust in His promise that He has prepared a place for us in heaven where we will be reunited with Him forevermore.

PRAYER

Father help and guide me onto Your path so I may reach eternity with You without faltering along my journey there, in Jesus' name I pray - Amen
