TOPIC: THE TRUTH!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

To be acquainted with the real truth saves lives. But what is the truth?

BIBLE TEXT:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6 NIV‬‬).

COMMENTS:

The temple at Jerusalem had three doors. The first is called ‘the way.’ It lead into the temple or outer court. The second is ‘the truth’ it leads into the inner court. And the last is ‘the life’. This gate leads into the holy of holies. I believe that this is the reason no High priest died in active service because they passed through the gate called ‘life’ into the most holy place.

Jesus described Himself as the way and the truth and the life. The word truth used in this context, is the Greek word ‘Aletheia’ it means ‘the original thought or intention of God. Jesus is the standard of life as God originally intended it to be. Or, the expression of God’s deepest intentions.

Jesus embodies the essence of the way, the truth, and the life. In His teachings and actions, He reveals the original intent and deepest desires of God for humanity. Jesus serves as the ultimate example of how life was meant to be lived according to God's perfect plan.

Jesus is the perfect representation of the way, the truth, and the life. Through His teachings and deeds, He showcases the original purpose and profound longings of God for mankind. Jesus stands as the supreme model of how life should be lived in alignment with God's flawless design.

WORDS OF WISDOM

To bring clarity to this idea, before the coming of Jesus the priest and high priest ministered to God’s people from the law and everyone was cool with that. But when Jesus came, He told them that God has jettisoned the law because of it’s imperfections. Now, they can come into the revelation of the knowledge and intentions of God by accepting Him as the real deal.

In view of this, whatever is said of Him is God’s position or the Father’s take on such matters. Jesus heals the sick because the Father heals the sick. Jesus raises the dead because the Father raises the dead. He is the author and revelation of the eternal thought, will, intention and purpose of God. No one serves God amiss who looks up to Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith.
