OUR PRAYERS TONIGHT

Heavenly Father, tonight we come before you with grateful hearts, seeking to understand and embrace the profound message of the prodigal son. We recognize that like the lost son, we too have strayed from your path and made choices that have led us away from your love and grace.

Father, we repent for the times we have turned our backs on you, for the moments we have chosen our own desires over your perfect will. We ask for your forgiveness and mercy, knowing that you are a loving and compassionate Father, always ready to welcome us back with open arms.

As we reflect on the prodigal son's journey, we are reminded of the depth of your unconditional love. Just as the father in the parable embraced his wayward son and celebrated his return, we humbly ask for your embrace and forgiveness. Help us to truly understand that no matter how far we have wandered, we can always find our way back to you.

Lord Jesus Christ, we also recognize that there are times when we may embody different roles in this parable. Sometimes, we are the prodigal son, in need of your forgiveness and restoration. At other times, we may be like the older brother, struggling with feelings of self-righteousness and envy. Please reveal to us the areas in our lives where we need to humble ourselves and extend grace to others.

We pray for the strength to surrender our pride and selfishness, and to fully trust in your infinite wisdom and love.

Teach us to be compassionate and forgiving toward those who have gone astray, just as you are compassionate and forgiving toward us.

May the message of the prodigal son resonate deeply within our hearts and transform our lives. Help us to always remember that you are God of second chances, eagerly waiting for us to return to you.

In Jesus Christ's name, we have pray - Amen.

Good night! Have a nice sleep with good dreams.
