TOPIC: FEAR OF THE LORD
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding (Proverbs 9:10).
FOOD FOR THOUGHT ON THIS VERSE
The reverence, awe, and deep respect for God, as explained in Proverbs 9:10, are essential components of gaining wisdom and understanding.
Acknowledging His sovereignty, holiness, and authority over all creation is crucial to attaining true wisdom.
Proper submission to God serves as the ultimate source of knowledge that involves developing a personal relationship with Him through studying His Word and seeking intimacy with Him.
As we increase our familiarity with God's truth by knowing Him more deeply, discernment becomes possible in how we live our lives.
Wisdom is portrayed in the book of Proverbs as practical knowledge resulting from sound judgment and discernment- a gift from God enabling individuals to navigate life's complexities according to His purposes.
Seeking wisdom requires intentional effort by being attentive to God's Word while humbly learning from others.
Proverbs offers practical advice on various aspects of life including relationships, finances, work ethic among others.
Wisdom leads to blessedness while unwise choices lead down paths towards destruction.
Ultimately true wisdom is found in Christ who embodies divine guidance enabling believers to fulfill their purpose wisely according to God's will.
Knowing who the Lord is should be our priority so that our lives can align with his will leading us towards fulfillment and purposeful living every day.
Our fear of the Lord must remain at the forefront of our minds since this reverence for God reminds us constantly about His sovereignty and authority over everything.

Pride or self-reliance cannot grant genuine insight into wise decisions - rather it comes through willingly submitting ourselves under Gods' will while also committing ourselves towards learning from other people.

MY PRAYER THIS AFTERNOON
God is Holy, Majestic, Good, and Eternal. I have to say that I know so much less about you than you know about me. But your faithfulness in my life, your power shown in history, your grace shown to so many through the cross of Christ, and your promise to bring me home to you one day all keep me going. I want to know you so that my life can be lost in your will. Not for my own glory or gain, but for your praise, I ask that you show yourself to me in the things I do today. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
