TRUE FAILURE IS FAILING TO BE AN EXAMPLE OF CHRIST ON EARTH

📕BIBLE TEXT:
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20).

It doesn't matter how successful you have become; if you're not yet a living example of Jesus's character, you're a big failure.

✍️INTRODUCTION:
Every believer in Christ is an ambassador; (i.e. a representative of the highest rank; assigned to function as representative from one country to another). Every believer in Christ Jesus is a representative of Jesus Christ. Such should be an example of Jesus Christ. That's the level we are expected to function.

🥞🖊️MAIN DISCOURSE:
The yard stick of achieving success before God is not your material wealth or affluence but how much of an example of Christ you have been to the world.
None of us will be congratulated by God in heaven for having many successes in business and entrepreneurship while on earth. His interest will be how much you were able to represent Christ while you lived on earth.
In our text for today, the Apostle Paul reminded his son Timothy that he should be an example of a true believer by the words that he spoke, the kind of conversations he engaged in, expression of the love of Christ towards others, being spiritually active, sustaining faith in Christ and His gospel, as well as living a life of purity before God and men.
Does your life exemplify a believer in your environment and among all men?
It's far better to be a success before God than to succeed before men and fail in God's view.
