News flash! There's a crucial calling God demands that we answer. It's a calling to live holy for Him.

✍️INTRODUCTION:
The Call to serve God is not just a mere one. This is a call with responsibility. It is a call to holiness. It should be treated with honor and respect. Our text today says, we are not called into impurity rather into holiness and sincerity of life.

🥞🖊️MAIN DISCOURSE:
You might have answered your parents' call to do their bidding with respect to academics and other important matters. There's also a call to civil obedience and compliance with the rules of the government.
This morning, I present to you the most superior of all calls. It's the call to live in holiness.
In our text for today, the Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonian Church informing them that as followers of Christ they were not called to uncleanliness but unto holiness.
Living a holy life in this ungodly world is a calling; but how many believers have responded to this call?
It doesn't matter whether you've reached the zenith of success. If you have not answered this calling of our God to live holy and righteous for Him, all of your physical successes will be a waste of time.
If nobody wants to disobey the call of his parents or superior, why is it a taboo to answer this one important call from our God which is holiness unto the Lord?

Dear God, Your promises to us through the prophets of old was fulfilled. Everything You said would be through Your prophets has come to be. We, as christians, have also made our own promises to You, to Christ and to our fellow human beings. Have we fulfill our part of the bargain? May we go forth, after reading this text and message with more vigor and enthusiasm to fulfill our promise to You; to walk on the path of righteousness that has been laid out to us, and live in peace amongst our brothers and sister. In Jesus name - Amen.
