Zzoomm's peaked my interest, but not in their services!

Zoom! Broadband have been harassing the good people of Hereford for well over a year now, aggressively marketing their stupid Broadband service in the street, via mail (I've been getting one letter a month, straight to bin) and most offensively by door knocking...

Honestly I had TWO calls in the last week, I had to give the the last guy the palm and forcefully tell him I wasn't interested.

WANKER.

Honestly, talk to your fucking sales buddy who I told to fuck off two weeks ago, don't come hassling when you've already been told I'm not interested.

That just pisses people off.

It's not a bad deal but it's no use to me.

Zoom offer 500 MPS for £37 month, after their introductory offer on a 12 month contract.

The problem is I'm probably going to be renting my house out again soon, so I can't be dealing with a tie-in!

I currently pay £42 a month with BT for the same speed, and I've just finished my deal period, locked into a 24 month contract. £5 a month is about right for flexibility.

One good thing...

I did find out Zzoomm uses its own network, it doesn't just use BT's like many other service providers do.

It's given me something to research, I'm quite interested in how all of this communications tech and contracts work, presumably BT, ZZOOMM and whoever else have paid for rights over the cables, and get a certain amount of bandwidth, I mean they're hardly going to install brand new cables of their own, they must have dibs over what's already there, at least you would have thought so!

I wonder what the limits are of this network..?!?
